Open Letter and Horizon Report - Do we really personalize learning with educational technology?

I read the 2014 Horizon Report as well as "An Open Letter to the Learners of This Planet". In this podcast, I remarked about how educational technology may not be leading completely to individualized instruction in the classroom and how it might be overcomplicating curriculum for our students.
